Divemaster Koh Tao training, what’s included
Our programme lasts 1 to 3 months depending on your experience and availability. It includes theory sessions, confined water practice, open water scenarios, and unlimited fun dives to progress quickly and build confidence. During your training, you will learn to:
- Guide certified divers safely across Koh Tao’s best dive sites
- Evaluate dive sites and identify potential risks before every dive
- Deliver clear and professional dive briefings
- Assist instructors during Open Water and other SSI courses
- Improve buoyancy, rescue skills, and situational awareness
This course is the first professional level in the SSI pathway and the direct prerequisite for the SSI Open Water Instructor certification.
Who can join the Divemaster Koh Tao programme?

- Minimum age: 18 years
- SSI Stress & Rescue certification (or equivalent)
- 40 logged dives before starting (you will reach 60 during the course)
