Moreover, every dive completed counts towards your future SSI certifications.

5 specialties, 2 days — your Advanced Open Water programme
During your Advanced Open Water in Koh Tao, you complete 5 adventure dives over two days with a certified SSI instructor. Two dives are mandatory:
- Deep diving — descend to 30 metres and learn depth management
- Underwater navigation — master compass and natural navigation
You then choose 3 more from: Perfect Buoyancy (PPB), wreck diving, night diving, underwater photography, or other SSI specialties. Furthermore, if you discover a passion for one specialty, your dives already count towards the full specialty certification.
Flexible, progressive training with experienced instructors
At The Divers Boat, your Advanced Open Water SSI training takes place in small groups with a dedicated multilingual instructor. Our two specialised boats mean your training dives and fun dives never mix — you always have the right environment for learning. In addition, all equipment is stored on board — nothing to carry.
What comes after the Advanced Open Water?
Once certified, you can continue your SSI journey towards the Rescue Diver and ultimately the Divemaster — the first professional level. You can also complete individual SSI specialty courses to build your skills in specific areas.
