Founded in 2016, The Divers Boat is a human-scale international dive school and diving center based at Mae Haad, Koh Tao’s main port, born from a simple idea: share a passion for diving in one of the most beautiful settings in the Gulf of Thailand. Its founder Baloo fell in love with Koh Tao — the Diving Island — moved to the island and built a center that reflects his values: comfort, quality teaching, and a genuine sense of fun. Our Dive Boats — Three Vessels, Three Experiences
The Divers Boat operates three traditional Thai fishing boats, fully renovated for scuba diving. Two depart from Koh Tao, one from Koh Phangan. Every trip combines comfort, safety and a friendly atmosphere. Whether you want to learn to dive, explore Koh Tao’s best sites, or reach Sail Rock from Koh Phangan, we have the right boat for you.
The White Boat — Training and Beginner Courses
The White is a former Thai fishing boat converted into a comfortable dive boat. It accommodates up to 40 divers and is dedicated to training, try scuba dives, and skill improvement courses.
Perfect for Learning
Its moderate size allows closer instructor supervision, so students feel safe and receive personalised guidance throughout. Furthermore, its layout has been designed to maximise both efficiency and comfort on every outing.
Boat Layout
First deck: equipment area, kitchen, 2 toilets, tank racks and dive platform.
Second deck: captain’s cabin and shaded lounge for meals and refreshments.
Third deck (Sun Deck): relaxation area between dives. Smoking allowed.
The Blue Boat — Fun Dives for Certified Divers
The Blue is larger and accommodates up to 55 certified divers. It is reserved exclusively for fun dives and leisure trips for experienced divers.
Designed for Exploration Diving
Its spacious layout makes equipment management, surface intervals and meals smooth and enjoyable. Every area on board has been designed to optimise comfort and good vibes between dives.

Second deck: large dining table with benches, captain’s cabin and shaded rest area.
The Red Boat — Sail Rock from Koh Phangan
The Red is our very first boat — the one that started it all in 2016. It accommodates up to 25 divers. Since 2026, it operates from Chaloklum, Koh Phangan, with one clear mission: reach Sail Rock every day at 10am and return at 4pm. It is thanks to the Red that divers staying in Koh Phangan or visiting from Koh Samui can reach the best dive site in the Gulf of Thailand without travelling through Koh Tao.
The Only 10am Departure in the Gulf
Our 10am departure from Koh Phangan is the only one in the Gulf compatible with the first Lomprayah ferry from Koh Samui. In other words: take the morning ferry, dive Sail Rock twice, and be back in Koh Samui the same evening. Find out more about diving from Koh Phangan →

At The Divers Boat, all diving equipment is set up and ready before you even arrive. Wetsuits, fins, masks, BCDs, regulators, tanks — nothing to carry, nothing to drag along. Just bring your good mood and a towel.

At The Divers Boat, diving is more than an activity — it’s an experience we take personally. Our multilingual team invites you to explore the underwater world of Koh Tao in the best possible conditions: a comfortable, well-equipped boat, small groups of maximum 4 divers per guide, and SSI-certified instructors who speak French, English and Spanish.
Open to All Divers and All Agencies
Although we are an SSI dive center, we warmly welcome divers from all certification agencies — PADI, CMAS and others — as well as all nationalities. What matters to us is your passion for diving, not the logo on your certification card.

I only had the opportunity for a day of diving on Koh Tao, and after some research, I ended up choosing The Divers Boat. I am incredibly happy with this choice. In advance, I emailed back and forth with Guillaume, he was very helpful and honest about what we could expect. He didn't try to sell me on things that were unrealistic. After we had settled on the type of dive, it was off to the tour. There I was met by the sweetest dive guide. She was so patient and good with my teenage girls and explained everything to them before they snorkeled, and went through it thoroughly with me and before the dive. Lea had an incredibly positive and infectious energy that made the day great for the whole family. The food on board also tasted very good, and the crew on the boat were very helpful. 10 out of 10.
An unforgettable experience that allowed us to fulfill several requests in a single day. Introductory dives for children aged 10 and 12, refresher dives, and snorkeling. The Divers Boat focuses on going to the best dive sites and avoiding crowds, I loved the 3 S (South West, Samran, Sail Rock) and double Sail Rock trips with The Divers Boat. Lunch provided on board with an on boat gear station really makes this dive center one of the best on the island of Koh Tao.

I’m so glad we went to this dive centre! We did our certificate at another dive centre on Koh Tao but we much preferred these guys! We did a 3 dive day to Sail rock, Shark island and Southwest and it was incredible. All the gear is already on the boat so no washing or carrying. Snacks and lunch on board were delicious. The staff are so chill and inviting. A much more relaxed, spacious and friendly vibe. The boat has the wet deck with all the gear and the top deck has large comfortable tables and a cover from the sun. If I come back to Koh Tao I will be coming here.
Did the 3 dive package to South West, Sail Rock and Shark Island.
Our guide, Tomas, was very attentive. Our group was mixed ability and the vis was poor. He did a good job of keeping us together and checked our air frequently. Felt like he knew where the boat was at all times.
Sometimes he went a bit too quickly for me, I like to chill, hence the 4 and not 5 star review.
Yesterday I was diving with " The Diver's Boat at Koh Tao. We have visited the dive spots "South West Pinnacle", "Samran Pinnacle" and "Sail Rock". All three dive spots have their own caracter. You will find schools of fish and at Samran Pinnacle also fishing nets which looks mystique. I am already diving for many years but what I have seen at "Sail Rock" was absolutely fantastic. So many different schools of fish I have never seen in my life at one spot. Just look and enjoy my fotos. The people at the diving school are all very friendly and they also have a very good boat for these special diving spots. I shall dive with "The Diver's Boat" as long as my holidays will last. There are only a few places in the world where you can make 3 dives at one day all only wearing a T-shirt all the time. That this is very comfortably diving only with a few weights on the belt everybody knows. I have dived with Lulu who is very experienced and knows the places very well. Thank you very much to Lulu.
Had a great time diving with The Diver's Boat crew. Did some specialty courses over a week and was impressed by the high standard of instruction. The boat was very comfortable and spacious. The dive shop was well organised and the prices were very competitive. Thanks to our instructors Flo and Isa and our gratitude to Medi for assisting during our rescue course. Would definitely recommend this dive centre and will return for some more fun dives.
