The Divers Boat — International SSI Diving Center

The Divers Boat is an international SSI dive school and diving center based at Mae Haad, Koh Tao’s main port on Thailand’s diving island in the Gulf of Thailand. Founded in 2016 as an SSI certified International Diving Center, we have since delivered over 3,500 SSI certifications and earned 700+ five-star reviews from divers of every nationality and level. Indeed, we dive in small groups and guide every diver — from complete beginners to experienced professionals — through every step of their underwater journey.

What Makes Our International Diving Center Different

Most dive centres in Koh Tao run mixed boats — courses and fun divers together. At The Divers Boat, we made a different choice: three fully owned boats, each with a clear purpose. Two operate from Koh Tao, one from Koh Phangan. Moreover, we depart later than all other centres on the island, so our divers arrive on site when the crowds have already gone. In short, less noise, more space, calmer marine life — and a fundamentally better dive experience.

Three Dedicated Boats — White, Blue and Red

What sets The Divers Boat apart from most dive centres in Koh Tao is simple: we own three fully specialised boats, each with a distinct role.

The white boat is exclusively for courses and training — from Try Scuba to Divemaster. Focused, structured, and calm. Morning departure 6:30am.

The blue boat is 100% dedicated to fun diving for certified divers. No students, no theory — just diving. Departure 9:00am, return 6:00pm.

The red boat operates from Chaloklum, Koh Phangan — heading to Sail Rock every single day at 10:00am, returning at 4:00pm. Compatible with the Lomprayah ferry from Koh Samui — the only 10am departure in the Gulf. It’s the original boat of The Divers Boat, transferred to Koh Phangan in 2026 once the white and blue boats took over Koh Tao operations.

As a result, each diver gets an experience tailored to their level, in a comfortable and well-organised environment.

Lower Deck — Equipment and Dive Preparation

Everything you need is already on board — no need to carry your gear around. You’ll find a practical water entry point, a fully equipped gear area, tanks and compressor, onboard toilets, and a functional kitchen. Furthermore, our crew sets everything up before you arrive.

Upper Deck — Comfort and Social Space

The upper deck is your space between dives. Tables, benches, ocean views — this is where we run briefings, share a hot lunch, and swap stories after a great dive. We also provide fresh fruits, snacks, water, tea, and coffee throughout the day. For our 4S trips, dinner is included too.

A great day of diving isn’t just about what happens underwater. Indeed, the moments on deck — the surface intervals, the shared meals, the conversations — are part of what makes a day with The Divers Boat memorable. Our team takes care of the organisation so you can focus entirely on the experience. Furthermore, with a maximum of 4 divers per guide, every diver gets personal attention in the water.

Later Departures — Uncrowded Dive Sites

Unlike most dive centres in Koh Tao, all our trips depart later than other boats — whether it’s a fun dive, an Open Water course, or a try dive.

By the time we arrive on site, most other groups are already heading back. Sail Rock, Southwest Pinnacle, Samran, White Rock — often just for you. Less noise, more space, calmer marine life. In short, our staggered schedule is one of the clearest advantages of diving with us.

It’s also why we offer the Open Water course in 2 days instead of three — every dive happens in the best possible conditions, without rushing and without crowds. Furthermore, our exclusive 3S Trip — Southwest, Sail Rock and Shark Island in one day — is an itinerary no other centre on Koh Tao can match.
