Japanese Garden<\/strong> is tucked into a naturally sheltered bay on the north coast of Koh Tao, just 25 minutes by boat from Mae Haad pier. The coral garden at Japanese Garden, Koh Tao<\/h2>\n

Japanese Garden<\/strong> takes its name from the density and beauty of its corals. According to Wikipedia<\/a>, coral reefs support over 25% of all marine species despite covering less than 1% of the ocean floor \u2014 and this bay is a fine example of that biodiversity. Branching, massive and soft corals alternate across the sandy floor, creating a rich and colourful habitat for a wide variety of reef fish.<\/p>\n

In addition, the clarity of the water in this sheltered bay ensures excellent visibility year-round, even on overcast days. Although venomous, these animals are naturally docile and show no interest in divers.
